Bear Hunt

Lugdon Lodge books week-long guided bear-over-bait hunts.  Hunters arrive Sunday after 2:00 p.m. and check out as late as 8:00 a.m. the next Sunday morning.  Your hunt includes meals, accommodations, transportation to and from an active bait site, and trophy care of the hide.

Lugdon Lodge wants to preserve a love of hunting in our nation’s youth.  Young hunters, under 16 years old, hunt free their first year when they are accompanied by a paying adult.  They pay only the non-hunting guest fee to cover lodging and meals.

Non-hunting guests are welcome when space allows for a fee that covers lodging and meals.  There are many adventures for non-hunters to enjoy in Northern Maine!

Cabins will be shared among hunting groups. You and your hunting party may share a cabin with other hunters from another party. Some consideration will be given to avoid co-ed parties sharing space with an all male or all female group. We will do our best to accommodate couples, but for the base price, private cabins are not guaranteed.
